A Quick Look at Africa's First Festival of Online Retailing Popping up in Nairobi

One of Kenya’s leading platforms: MOOKH, specializing in E-Commerce Digital payments is launching a new iteration of their innovative offering – a portal aimed at enabling sales and payments for third-party businesses.

To showcase the revamped MOOKH site, MOOKH has partnered with the sellers on the platform to host Africa’s First Online Pop-up Festival on Friday 27th July 2018 on www.mookh.africa.

Pop-up retailing (or flash retailing) is a trend of opening short-term sales spaces – and pop-ups provide a great way to access new brands and products – often at bargain introductory prices.

MOOKH— a Microsoft 4Afrika beneficiary startup is 100% Kenyan owned and developed. The brainchild of MOOKH: Founder & CEO Eric Thimba, and his business partner George ‘Porgie’ Gachui, launched MOOKH in late 2015 and has been helping businesses of all sizes maximize their opportunities for direct selling by reducing the process of setting up an online store to under 30 minutes, with absolutely no setup cost. MOOKH’s target is to get one million small African businesses online by the year 2022.

The company has great pan-African ambitions and has over the past 12 months been working on a major upgrade to the system with support from partners like Microsoft 4Afrika and Facebook.
